Online therapy is real alternative choice to face to face sessions. Whether through your computer or by telephone it can offer you choice and flexibility.
There can be many reasons why it might suit better to speak to a counsellor online.
If you work shifts or are caring for someone then accessing professional support through an online facility can offer you a space and time which is easier to manage around your commitments. If you work away then it can offer continuity in the process and can be arranged around work patterns. It can also be combined with face to face sessions should you occasionally be away. For some the reduction in travel time will be beneficial, for others the additional privacy of not being seen entering a counsellors building or room may be important.
I have select availability for online counselling. If you are interested in this please email me to make initial contact and we will agree a time to talk about how it works and whether it might be a suitable option for you.
Zoom
Through Zoom it is possible to access support that is very like a normal face to face session. We will still be able to see each other and your confidentiality will be maintained through an encrypted platform.
You will need to ensure that you have time set aside for the session and that you won’t be overheard or disturbed so that your sessions can be as effective as if you and I were in the same room. It is worth considering what you will use—desktop, laptop or phone and whether you need to ensure its own security.
Sessions last 50 minutes and the fee is £50. Payment is made in advance to guarantee the session, through BACS transfer.
If you would like to know more about how we would work this way then please give me a call on my mobile or email me.
Telephone Counselling
If you are unable to use Zoom, you may want to look at sessions by phone. There may be some limitations that don’t suit this method but please do get in touch via the contact page to see what's best and discuss further.
Contracting and Confidentiality
All our work will be bound by the same professional standards as face to face counselling. I will explain confidentiality, how counselling works and contact information at the beginning of your appointment.
